According to sources, USC cornerback Nickell Robey has declared for the 2013 NFL Draft. He hasn’t publicly made a statement but has informed Coach Lane Kiffin about his decision.

The main reason he is entering the draft and forgoing his senior season is due to his family’s financial situation. In addition, he believes that he has nothing more to prove in college. This past season, Pac-12 teams have avoided him like the plague.

In our mock draft, we have Robey going to the New York Jets in the 4th round. Robey has the speed and innate abilities to be a playmaker in the nickel package. Robey is the 10th best cornerback in the draft.

Other USC players that will be drafted in the first 3 rounds in our projections are:

1. Round 1, 1st pick = Matt Barkley, QB – Kansas City Chiefs
2. Round 1, 28th pick = Robert Woods, WR – New England Patriots
3. Round 2, 64th pick = Khaled Holmes, C – San Francisco 49ers
4. Round 3, 80th pick = TJ McDonald, S – Philadelphia Eagles
